Mr. Stanley has taught music for over twenty years.  As an educator, his groups achieved success in festivals and competitions throughout the state of California, and his students have gone on to numerous successes of their own, both in and out of music.

 

Some highlights of Mr. Stanley's career in education:

• Awarded 2016 Teacher of Excellence Award for Burbank High School by the Burbank Rotary Club

• At Burbank High School, ensembles under his direction earned consistent Unanimous Superior ratings at both District and Regional festivals in SCSBOA, as well as 1st place and Gold awards at Heritage and Music in the Parks festival competitions

• His AP Music Theory students achieved 100% pass rates on the AP test, with class average scores ranging from 3.5-4.1 out of a possible 5 points

• At Walter Reed Middle School, his jazz band was featured at the CMEA All-State Convention and was a demo group for jazz composer/arranger Peter Blair

• His private French Horn students have gone on to major in music and have earned degrees from such prestigious institutions as the Boston Conservatory and the University of Texas

• Mr Stanley is a sought-after clinician for school groups and a festival adjudicator in Southern California
